Information for presenters

Symposia

  • The time slots of 90 minutes allow 10-15 minutes for the oral presentation of each paper and for the discussant's remarks.
  • The organizers of each symposium will provide additional information to the presenters and discussant(s) about the organization of the session and will fix the deadline for sending the papers to the discussant(s).
  • Equipment
    All meeting rooms will be equipped with an overhead projector and a beamer for PowerPoint presentations. A PC portable will be also available in each room. Please note that Macintosh PCs will NOT be available.Please bring a copy of the PowerPoint presentation on CD ROM or USB key and hand it to the Meeting secretariat office at least 3 hours before your presentation. Two PCs will be available for presenters who wish to check or modify their PowerPoint presentations ahead of time at the Meeting Secretariat Office.
  • Please bring handouts to provide to participants attending the symposia, paper and poster sessions. Photocopy service will NOT be available at the conference.

Paper Sessions

  • For each paper, 15 minutes (maximum) will be allotted for the oral presentation and questions from the audience. In addition, there will be at least 15 minutes after all the presentations for general discussion.
  • Equipment

Poster Sessions

  • Poster presentations will be organized in chaired sessions. The chairs of the poster sessions will steer the discussion.
  • The poster should clearly show the title, authors' names and affiliations. It should be readable from a distance of 1-2 meters.
  • Posters must be put up at the beginning of the designated session and must be removed at the end of it.
  • All poster sessions will take place in designated rooms. The poster boards will be numbered (the number of each poster will be indicated in the program). Posters will be grouped by theme to facilitate exchanges among authors and visitors.
  • On-site facilities
    The poster boards measure 120 cm (height) by 100 cm (width). Posters should be prepared to fit within these dimensions. Adhesive tape for attaching the poster will be available at the Meeting Secretariat Office.
